What is a totem sign?

Signage Totems are also known as monolith signs or totem signs.
They are large external advertising signs that clearly display a message. Sometimes it’s in relation to one company, sometimes it’s to advertise multiple companies in the area (think of the large totem signs you see at the entrance to some retail parks).
They will either be concreted securely into the ground via posts which are planted to a sufficient depth, or they will be bolted onto a totem sign ground cage.

How much do signage totems cost?

The price of a signage totem, aka Monolith sign, completely depends on the size and complexity of it’s design. Unfortunately it’s not possible to give a guide price as the height, width, depth, complexity of shape and a number of other factors all determine the overal cost.

How do you look after a totem sign?

Totem signs can be easily cleaned and maintained outdoors by using a wet cloth and a mild non-abrasive soap. Make sure to wipe the sign thoroughly and dry it with a soft cloth to avoid any streaks.
They require little effort to keep them looking good, in fact many of our customers don’t do any maintenance on them at all.

Are there specific sizes for a totem Sign?

The variety of shapes and sizes for totem signs is infinite, anything you can think of we will find a way of doing it.

What colours are signage totem available in?

A totem sign is available in any RAL Colour.
RAL offers a wide range of colours for use in exterior design. The RAL colour chart is well-known and widely used.

I have a damaged Totem Sign, can it be repaired?

Yes, as long as the internal structure isn’t damaged we can simply replicate and replace the panels and graphics, the 200 Aztec West sign, located in Bristol, pictured to the right is one such sign where we replaced the panels and graphics. Utilizing the internal structure of the signage totem and giving a more cost-effective solution.

The request for a quote was answered quickly and the initial survey carried out well, estimate arrived quickly was... accepted and paid.A few days later the date of the 28th November for fixing was confirmed by Signet. On the 27th November no confirmation of fitting had been received so we had to contact the company to confirm timings and it was agreed that 9.30am on Thursday 28th November was correct.By 10.45am on that day no one had arrived and it took 3 further phone calls to confirm that the fitters were still at the depot and not even loaded. It was obvious that a certain amount of panic set in and we were left hanging onto the phone only to be told that the filters were on their way. The team arrived within 10 minutes and the new signage fitted in a very satisfactory way.The big problem was internal communication, somebody made a complete mess of confirming the fitting date, we ca. The whole process from making my initial query until receiving the product only took 25 days in total. Previously tried... other places but they seemed to want payment upfront before we had even seen a draft of what it could look like but Signet Signs gave very clear detail and a proof of the sign so I knew exactly how it would appear before making payment. A slight hiccup in the timing and quality of signage designs being completed, HOWEVER superb... customer service has consistently been provided by Andy Catlyn, and other individuals spoken to on the phone. Once reached, response and resolution have been prompt and pro-active.Notes that can assist with improvement:Systems may need reviewing to ensure emails are directed to those available/individuals receiving them are available to action them. I requested a naming system for our design files, to avoid confusion with our 3 very similar designs. This has worked.Identification of a sign design process with managed time expectancy and costs.
